In Dénia we will not only find a large number of sunny days a year and an average annual temperature of 20 degrees, but there are also many types of habitats that facilitate the settlement of innumerable species of both flora and fauna. It is even the point of passage for migratory animal species such as birds and / or cetaceans.
These HABITATS include the coastline with a rocky and sandy bottom, forest areas in the Montgó Natural Park, the cliffs of San Antonio Cape, the natural and marine reserve of San Antonio's Cape, LIC (Places of Community Importance), sea caves, wet areas such as rivers and marshes, dry and irrigated agricultural areas on the Vía Verde or on the outskirts of the smaller local entities of Jesús Pobre and La Xara, etc.
You cannot miss the watching observatory located at the end of Les Rotes area, perhaps you will be lucky and you can spot a dolphin, turtle or whale since, at certain times of the year, they choose our waters to feed and / or rest during their migratory trips.
